TRUSTEE UPDATE

Di Brierley, who is Chair of our House Committee, and also administers our room bookings, is standing down from the Board of the Charity as a Trustee.  Happily, she will continue to Chair the House Committee and we would like to thank her for all her hard work, for making a positive contribution to the Board and looking after our room bookings over the last few years.

ROOM BOOKINGS ADMIN HELP

As you can see from above, we are looking for one or more volunteers to help administer bookings for our function and meeting rooms, which is an important income stream for our club. Di has agreed to continue until the end of March but we would like to have one or more volunteers in place as soon as possible so that there can be a hand over period.

Over time Di has set up proper systems for dealing with room booking admin, so it should really be just a hand over rather than starting something from scratch. The tasks involved include being the first port of call in receiving room booking enquiries (which are advertised on our website); looking after our dedicated room booking calendar; liaising with clients over bookings; preparing and sending out invoices. There is already another volunteer, who works with Di in showing prospective users around the club, so you will not be doing this alone. SOCIAL COMMITTEE

Now that there has been a return towards normality we really want to arrange a regular programme of entertainment events at the club. So we are looking for some club members who can form a Social Committee to work as a team to restart our old Social Committee. If you are interested, please respond to this email.

The Board
